Release of the Week: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 (360, PS3)

The year’s second most exciting golf game is finally here! While it’s no Hot Shots, Tiger Woods PGA Tour has made a name for itself with gamers who enjoy cutting edge ball rotation and grass physics. This year’s game will be “better with Kinect” because like Tiger, it’s best if you don’t touch any golf clubs and just pretend you’re awesome. Remember: Pretend clubs can’t be used as a weapon by angry spouses.

While Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 removed Tiger from the cover completely in the wake of his, er, PR nightmare, this year’s game is taking a different approach. Not only is Tiger back on the cover, but his life is celebrated in the new Tiger Legacy Challenge Mode. In this mode you can play through the life and times of Tiger Woods, from his days as a toddler to the pursuit of breaking Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 majors. That’s right: you get to play as a 2-year old Tiger Woods.

Apparently the angry people on the Internet who are upset about the ending of Mass Effect need to gain Tiger Woods’ support. He managed to change the end of his own story in video game form, why couldn’t he do the same for Mass Effect. Speaking of which, if you haven’t finished Mass Effect 3 yet, go play that game this week. Trust me, the finale is a lot better than the end of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13.
