News: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Coming to XBLA and PSN

Though Japanese fighting game developer Arc System Works has been busy for the last few years pumping out psuedosequels and updates to its moderately successful moe-infused fighter, BlazBlue, they have finally decided to return to the series that put them on the map: Guilty Gear.  Recently announced on their Japanese website, a new version of the game based on the 2008 revision Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network, complete with “Network Battle” functionality.

This news comes only days after a new port of the title was shown at AOU2012 for Japanese arcades.  Accent Core Plus was originally released for the PS2 and Wii back in 2008, and contained character balance changes, team battles, a story mode, and the return of series bosses Kliff and Justice as playable fighters.  Release date and price for the arcade, PSN, and XBLA versions are TBA at this time.
