Release of the Week: Margaritaville Online (Facebook)

The Midwest is getting buried under the weight of major snow storms. Torrential rains and flooding are ravaging the northwest.  In Key West, Florida, the forecast for today is 78 and sunny. Just about everyone would like to get whisked away to a tropical paradise in the middle of winter. THQ hopes you’ll be compelled to spend some time wastin away again in Margaritaville Online.

Just in case you didn’t think that there was a Facebook game about everything, Jimmy Buffet’s highest charting solo single is getting its own game this week. You and your friends can pretend you’re on a tropical paradise while wasting time playing mini-games. These games range from limbo, to fishing, to shooting people with a slingshot. Say what you will, but I’m pretty sure this game is going to be much better then shoveling snow.

Margaritaville Online is the first Facebook game I’ve ever given the honor of naming, “Release of the Week.” Of course, this is mostly due to an empty week in terms of releases. Even so, this game looks to be far more entertaining than the majority of Facebook games out there. It’s free, which means you can spend your money on some margaritas to sip on while playing. That way if the game is terrible, you still get margaritas. Good luck finding your lost shaker of salt.
