Xenoblade Announced For Europe; US to Follow?

Today, Nintendo of Europe has announced the localization (localisation?) of Monolithsoft’s Japanese release, Xenoblade.  The title is slated to reach European Wii consoles later this year as Xenoblade Chronicles – though no date has been announced. According to the press release, the game will contain both English and Japanese voiceovers as well as full subtitles for Spanish, French, English, Italian, and German.  Xenoblade was released last summer in Japan to rave reviews and was rated one of the top Japanese RPGs of this console generation.

This is a good sign for North American Wii owners who are anxiously awaiting news on this title, though the game remains unannounced for North America at this time.   However, given the enormous translation effort for the game, it is unlikely that Nintendo would pour resources into translating the title into English without releasing the title in North America as well.  Stay tuned to GamesAreEvil for more information.  The announcement trailer can be found here.   Japanese RPG fans:  time to dust off those Wii consoles!
