North American Persona fans, rejoice.
Atlus has just launched a teaser site for a localized version of its puzzle-horror-dating-sim-hybrid, Catherine. After recently trolling its fanbase with an official statement regarding there were “no plans” for a North American release of the title, Atlus has come clean and announced that Catherine will indeed be hitting North American shores – and sooner than expected. Catherine puts the player in the role of Vincent, an unlikely hero who gets far more than he bargained for after a “romantic encounter” with the titular character. Catherine‘s gameplay is varied and revolves around managing relationships with the characters of Catherine and Katherine as well as surviving intense puzzle sequences in the dark world of Vincent’s nightmares. Catherine is a very adult game and contains a lot of controversial themes, so the fact the game is getting a localized version is somewhat surprising.
Catherine is due out for both PlayStation3 and Xbox360 this summer.
