Many veteran gamers are no stranger to a sword and shield or magic spells. Scores of monsters have been slain in order to collect piles of gold and loot. While we would like to tell ourselves that we were avenging a village or saving a fair maiden, let’s be honest with ourselves: we just wanted a better sword.
Dungeons will put gamers in the shoes of those running… well, dungeons. As an evil master mind, it is your job to command a Goblin army, dig out your own personal dungeon, and set traps to kill those pesky, plundering heroes. Heroes will come to your lair to find gold, epic weapons, or simply just to fight monsters. As the evil master mind, you want to harvest the soul energy of the heroes. That means you will want to make them as happy as possible while plundering your labyrinth and cut them down in their prime.
Mmmm… souls.
Soul energy will make you stronger and allow you to build a grander dungeon. You can’t get too greedy, though. If a hero makes it to the heart of your dungeon then all your hard work will be destroyed! Rude, I know! Luckily, you will have your own personal avatar that can do your bidding. This avatar can be upgraded with soul energy and is your ultimate weapon. When its time to harvest some hero souls, your avatar is your best chance to cut them down to size.
Dungeons will tug at the heartstrings of the Dungeon Master in all of us. If you’ve ever wanted to toy with a group of puny heroes, this will be the game for you. Nothing like playing through the career of an evil dungeon lord.
