Last Minute Holiday Gaming Values

As much as I hate to admit it, I am notorious for waiting until the last possible moment to do my holiday shopping.  Case in point, my list still has three people on it, all of which are gamers in my family.  So I figured I would not let my hard work and research go to waste, and instead share the wealth with all off my fellow procrastinators on the internet.  Just be warned, for this late in the game, online purchasing will not cut it, so this may require you to actually *shudder* make human contact and visit brick and mortar store.

At this juncture in the gift purchasing process it is hard to beat the kind of discounts that you are going to find at a retailer like GameStop.  Yes, I do realize that they are the the only “evil empire” of gaming worth hating more than Bobby Kottick, but for the next three days they are going to be your best friend.  We will start with some of of their used games that can be snagged for under twenty dollars:

Moving along, though a bit harder to find, GameStop also has some pretty decent deals going on brand new, never opened games.  I know that is hard to wrap your brain around, but rest assured, it is true.  Here are some of the best new value priced titles that you will be able to pick up for under twenty dollars:

Another of my favorite retailers for purchasing video games would have to be Target.  Along with their amazing DVD prices, I have been known to meander through their gaming aisle and find a steal or two.  Even though we have to raise the price bar to thirty dollars, there is still a wide selection of quality titles that are available.  Feast your eyes on this lineup:

Next on my hitlist was Best Buy.  Though I wasn’t really expecting to find many values, I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of console games that were available for under twenty bones.  Here is a sampling of some of the cream of the crop:

And what would any list of retailers be without everyone’s favorite dirty uncle: Wal-Mart.  We all hate ourselves for going there, yet time and time again we pony up to suckle at the teat of old man Walton.  That said, here are some of the deals they have made available:

Easily the best part about the online stores for all of these retailers is the option for in-store pickup.  This will allow you to do all of the legwork online, and only have to stretch your limbs to pick your purchases up on-site.  Really, how can you beat that?
