Sonic Free Riders gets a release date

Making waves on the new Microsoft Kinect system set to launch this November is Sega and their exclusive Sonic Free Riders action racing game. Releasing on November 4th in North America, players will be able to control the fast and furious hedgehog in an all new way.

Sonic Free Riders marks the third game in the Riders franchise and promises to deliver a fast-paced boarding game which takes advantage of the unique Kinect controls. Utilizing the full-motion body controls, players can race through courses at break neck speeds using fully customizable hover boards, bikes. Armed with the Kinect system, players will twist and contort their bodies to push their favorite characters across the finish line.

Sega recently has been giving Sonic quite a bit of love with the re-release of Sonic Adventure and the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 both on digital distribution. This latest Sonic game, if it reacts well with the full-body motion controls could be a nice inclusion in the first round of games for Microsoft’s Kinect lineup.
