Hulu, coming to a Xbox console near you

When Microsoft debuted the New Xbox Experience a couple of years back at E3, the internet was abuzz with the potential for services that could be added that would further enhance the value of being an Xbox LIVE Gold subscriber. First debuted was the ever-popular Netflix, followed soon thereafter by Twitter, LastFM and Facebook.  While all of these have been great additions to an already sweet package, it seems that Microsoft may have one more ace up their sleeve for this year’s E3: Hulu.

Gearlive.com has the full breakdown:

“While everyone was looking to the as the device that would kick off the subscription-based paid model for Hulu, it instead looks like the Xbox 360 is going to get that honor. We’ve heard from a very reliable source (who has never been wrong before) that Microsoft is set to unveil Hulu as an Xbox Live service at E3 2010. Similar to how Netflix is integreated into the Xbox 360 dashboard, Hulu would be there as well, and would require a subscription fee.” — via GearLive.com

Whether or not this actually comes to fruition, this would be an amazing thing to add to the service.  I hope Microsoft is listening.  Now as for the monthly service fee, I have mixed feelings. After all, it is already free in a browser, right?
