Craigslist may face some opposition in vying to be the girlfriend provider to the Xbox 360 player market in the new game, 8-bit Girlfriend. Players can now seek some retro style companionship from the comfort of their own couches.
8-bit Girlfriend is based off of a web comic of the same name. This comedy-dating sim has been available since last Sunday on the Indie section of the Xbox Marketplace. The player assumes the role of the impressively named “Sir Knight”. The mission: court the retro RPG ladies. The familiar ladies are the Thief, Elf, Princess and of course an Item Shop Girl. Gameplay is based getting the couple to fall in love through selections in a dialogue tree.
