197 million people have registered for the free-to-play game by the name of Dungeon Fighter Online. The sound of free-to-play might make you cringe, but 197 million people can’t be overly wrong. Let that soak in for a moment…..197 MILLION people have played this game, and they are not all Asian.
Dungeon Fighter Online is a beat ‘em up type game that plays out a whole lot like Castle Crashers on Xbox Live. This equates out to some fun visuals, and even more fun game play.
Even more impressive is that Dungeon Fighter Online is still in the beta stages. A game in beta has hit 197 million account registers. Crazy we know. Since September of 2009, 1.6 billion monsters have met killing blows, 25 million dungeons have been crawled, and more than 28 million people have fought in PvP combat. These numbers are just for North American players as well. Can you say success?
