CATS & DOGS Sequel headed to Big Screen and DS

There are certain inevitable truths that are part of life in the 21st Century.  Reality TV has a stranglehold on the airwaves.  People are STILL falling for the old ‘Nigerian Bank Scheme’.  And summer blockbusters will be accompanied by a video game tie-in.  One such outing for 2010 will apparently be July’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore for the Nintendo DS.

“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is a hilarious action-platformer game that draws upon the high-tech gadgetry and high-stakes espionage taking place in the eternal underground war between cats and dogs,” said Adam Kline, president of 505 Games.

It seems that Kitty Galore and her nefarious henchmen are out to conquer the world.  Gamers will get to play as multiple characters from the film in over 45 covert missions across various locations and environments inspired by the film.  Unique abilities and gadgets propel players deeper into the action as they adopt the roles of a rookie canine agent, a super feline double agent or a streetwise pigeon.

505 Games promises more than 45 covert missions and six different mission types, including escort, stealth and combat. No word at this point if we can expect voicework from Bette Midler, Alec Baldwin, or Chris O’Donnell – who all voice key characters in the big screen adaptation.  Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB, and will be available at retail outlets nationwide in July 2010.
