Blizzard has recently kicked out the 1.13 patch for Diablo II. This patch includes the obligatory ladder reset along with tweaks and fixes to the game play. So why the hell should you care? There is a little bread trail that has been started. This little bit of cake was left behind in the patch notes:
A new Mystery has been revealed!
- Adventurers of Sanctuary are hereby warned once again, that a new challenge
awaits you. Within Diablo’s Bosses, spanning across the world from the
ancient Monastery Catacombs to the Throne of Destruction, is where you’ll
find what you seek…
What the hell does this mean? Is Blizzard baiting us to some super secret story that will now link Diablo II with Diablo III? Are we going to get some sort of story that will make us crave Diablo III even more? Blizzard, you truly are a cruel bastard. Now we have to go dig out our Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction CDs to do that whole reinstall thing. Thanks; we didn’t want to do anything else tonight anyway.
