As you can tell from my points in the review, I greatly disagree with that stance. With games that are as huge as Dragon Age, it is impossible to give it the same amount of detail that is available in a much shorter experience like Mass Effect 2. Both have their own unique strong points, but it is a trade off that depends on your preference as a gamer. I for one am finding myself loving both games, just for different reasons.

Personally I think it is remarkable that Bioware could deliver 2 completely experiences from different teams within the same company! Let alone releasing them within 3 months of each other.

It was hardly phoning it in, just completely different styles of game. Is World of Warcraft phoning it in when they have little to no voice acting and re-used assets out the ass? Several million other gamers don't seem to think so. Everything comes down to what you are expecting from the experience.

I agree with Rob- Especially after pounding through Mass Effect 2. Voice acting aside, DOA was exactly that. Art lacked any sort of inspiration and the game just felt dated. Talk about phoning it in!

Fellas, where do I begin? First of all, very compelling review. I got so excited to read the rest, at one point, that I couldn't focus on what I was reading. So, Brilliant.

Secondly, Rob, quit whining. ;) It's a great game. You've played FAR worse. Did you ever think of the little quirks as being even more Baldur's Gate-like? Those are the things that kept it more nostalgic for me. Well, all except the stupid lack of co-op. Bah!

Third. Good job with your metaphor Blake. That blog we talked about, will be awesome!

Finally, sorry about your skateboard, Rob. My if you're good, "Santa" will bring you the perfect skateboard this year. And it can be one of those sappy sitcom episodes, where the bitch down the hall ends up being pleasant, AFTER she gets that stupid doll she was never afforded as a child. HA!

Love you guys! AWESOME review!!
