It’s another two game week on the XBLA with Death By Cube, and Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement both launching today!
Square Enix has really been thinking outside the RPG box lately! First 0 Day Attack On Earth, and now, Death By Cube. This quirky 2 stick shooter puts you in the shoes of a robot who has lost their memory. The only way to get it back is by destroying wave after wave of other, more threatening robots including, you guessed it, CUBES! There’s more here than just robot-on-robot violence – you can also save your points and buy upgrades for you robot! At 800 MS points, fans of two stick shooters, as well as fans of robots that bleed a lot will want to give this game a try.
Fans of tactical turn based RPG’s may remember the Vandal Hearts series from the PS1. Players engage in turn based combat on a grid-style playing field. It’s important to pick the right attack for your given situation – for example, swinging a hammer will damage everyone near you whether they be friend or foe. Each turn affords you the opportunity to move around the grid, and take some action, such as attacking an enemy.
