The third game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series has received a release date for the UK, Scandinavia and Italy. Koch Media, who are distributing the title, announced today that Call of Pripyat will hit stores on the 5th of February.

This is the first sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl and will see players investigating the mystery behind the disappearance of five military helicopters in the contaminated zone around the Chernobyl.

Call of Pripyat  is built on an updated version of the X-Ray engine. It now supports DirectX 11 so, those with a capable PC will get to experience the meticulously-created Zone in the finest detail yet.

Time to upgrade methinks.
