Gamers everywhere can’t wait to enter a Sci-Fi universe and do battle against an evil robot army. Just in case you can’t wait for Mass Effect 2 later this month, Dark Void hits store shelves to help satisfy your cravings. At first glance, Dark Void looks like a generic space marine shooter. Look closer though, and you will see that Dark Void is instead a generic space marine shooter… with jetpacks!
Players will be taking control of Will, a cargo pilot who is making a special delivery to the Bermuda Triangle. As with all planes and boats that get lost in the Bermuda Triangle, Will finds himself in a nation inhabited with evil robots. Luckily, he happens to be transporting a super secret jetpack which he can dawn to do battle in air with those evil bots.
If you want a Science Fiction classic with memorable characters, a riveting story and exciting tactical combat then I would hold off a week for Mass Effect 2. If you are into cheap thrills in a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, have a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket or only own a PS3, then Dark Void will help make your week pass by a bit quicker.
