Get Ready to Jet with Dark Void Demo

0 Comments 06 January 2010 | Tags: , , ,

Dark Void is an action shooter from Airtight Games that is set to release next week. The story centers around a group of humans called Survivors who are imprisoned by a group of aliens, The Watchers, in an alternate dimension. It is your job to rescue the Survivors and return them to our dimension, thus saving humanity from these cruel overlords. With a plethora of jet packs and hover packs at our disposal, we can expect a lot of vertical combat and fun arcade flying. Airtight Games has even created a new cover system for this aerial combat, which they have dubbed “vertical cover.”  Even if the premise of the game holds no sway over you, you must consider that the score is composed by Bear McCreary, the composer for the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. So, whether you do it for the gameplay or just to hear some great music, jump onto Xbox Live and download the demo today. It clocks in at just over 800 MB.

Carlton Brumbelow is a tangible video-game character sent from the future to warn us of the impending gaming apocolypse. In the year 2037, the Kefka programming will finally become self aware and will proceed to destroy the world. Carlton intends to stop this before it happens. In his spare time, he hangs out with his present-time wife, kids and friends. He has told them that he's from the future, but they do not believe him. They laugh at him when he is not around. But they'll see...oh yes, they'll see. They'll soon begin to hear Kefka's maniacal laugh in their dreams, just like he does. Errrr...Carlton likes video games.
