Like Designing LittleBigPlanet Or Spore Galactic Adventures Levels? You Could Win Up To $50,000!

You read that title right.  SCEA and EA have joined up with Entertainment Software Association, Information Technology Industry Council and MacArthur to host the Game Changers contest.  Here is the skinny on this contest.  The Game Changers contest is all about creating fun, exciting, and educational levels to help teach youth about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  What an awesome way to learn about these categories huh?

The criteria are as follows.  Submissions are going to be judged by the LittleBigPlanet and Spore communities, as well as experts from Humanities, Arts Science and Technology Advanced Collaboratory (HASTAC).  Awards are based on how much STEM is in a level, along with playability, how engaging the level is, problem-solving, and overall look and feel of the level.

With 12 awards, there is a lot to shoot for here.  Even winning the low end will net you $5,000.  Not too shabby for doing something you already enjoy.  Plus, your teaching great concepts to others in one of the most enjoyable methods I know of, gaming!  No matter if you win or not, this is still a great contest to take part in.

Want all the details, head here for all you need to do.  If you decide this is right up your alley, head to the registration site and get yourself signed up.  Submissions can start rolling in on January 15, 2010.
