Release of the Week: Karaoke Revolution (360, PS3, Wii)

k_rev_party_19With Black Friday coming this week, the holiday release season is just about over. All of the big games are out and ready for happy little gamers everywhere to get their game on. By now, there are plenty of terrorist, zombies, and Templars to kill. Lets not forget songs to strum, drum, sing, and scratch. Plus, lets not forget the countless treasures, trophies, and achievements to earn.

That being said, there are still some new games hitting store shelves. Karaoke Revolution is the most notable this week. While not as intense as something like Rock Band or Band Hero, there is still a lot of fun to be had here. The game comes with a setlist of 50 songs and another 200 promised to come as DLC. This doesn’t really compete with the 1000 songs Rock Band will reach this week, but it aims for a wider audience and is compatible with most mics that you already own.

This game may not appeal to the hardcore gamer, however, if you are looking for a game that your little sister might like, this is a good one. Just remember that you will be listening to them singing in the living room.
