For those of you out there that cannot wait another second for Dragon Age Origins, I have great news! Bioware announced today that the first chapter of Dragon Age Journeys is now available for free in your browser. In Dragon Age Journeys, you play the hero looking to uncover an evil plot that plans to unleash a dark evil across the dwarven lands of Orzammar. Based on Bioware’s upcoming Dragon Age: Origins, players will play for exclusive in game content for when Origins is released.
“Dragon Age Journeys sets the stage for Dragon Age: Origins,” said Mark Darrah, Executive Producer, Dragon Age: Origins. “The team has shown the Dragon Age Franchise in a bold new light and the release of this game allows a broad audience of players to discover our dark fantasy universe for the first time.”
Dragon Age Journeys is being created by a team who is working exclusively on the project, bringing in all stars from the independant gaming scene to bring us a fluid browser game experience.
“Dragon Age Journeys continues our mission of working with talented game developers and artists to create high quality games, blowing away expectations of what is possible in the browser,” said Mark Spenner, VP of Development, EA 2D. “We are honored to be working with BioWare to introduce the Dragon Age franchise to a wide audience of gamers.”
Dragon Age Journeys will feature tactical game play with a rich story line and deep character customization so that any fan Bioware fan can feel right at home. And since Origins is still a little ways off, this should be more than enough to hold you over until then.
