The Weekend Evils 18-20th September

The weekend has finally got here at last, and we all know what that means:  2 full days of uninterrupted gaming time!

There’s certainly plenty to play with some fantastic new releases arriving in the past week.

Gamers around the world have Need for Speed: Shift, WET, Heroes Over Europe, NHL10 and NHL2k10 on offer to them amongst others.

While North Americans can enjoy the likes of Scribblenauts and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, and European gamers have Katamari Forever at long last to play.

We at GamesAreEvil and sister site ThePortableGamer thought we’d let all you faithful readers know just how we intend to spend our well earned weekend, and maybe it’ll give you some inspiration too if you still can’t decide what game to check out first!

Rob: I’ll be rockin through The Beatles: Rockband, as my 360 copy showed up and I need to 5 star as many songs as I can to get all the prizes and photos. In addition, I hope to be playing through some Scribblenauts, and will most likely continue to play Demon’s Souls and Persona for PSP, as I need to review them.

Michelle: I’ll be playing Scribblenauts and wishing I could solve my everyday problems just by knowing how to spell the solution. :)

Bob: 2 words, Scribblenauts motherfuckers!

Carter: I know I’ll definitely be rocking Scribblenauts this weekend, finishing up Shadow Complex and Guitar Hero 5,  as well as digging into some more iPhone games to cover on the site!

Scott: This week and weekend I will be playing more of Section 8 Multiplayer, Scribblenauts, Prof Layton, and *shudders* Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust. Also since I have them now I will hit up some of the Capcom Platinum Hits collection (DMC4, Dead Rising, and Lost Planet).

Daniel: Hmm… well my 360 broke for the second time yesterday, so I’ve gotta wait for that to come back before I can play anything NEW. I’m going to be dominating Fight Night Round 2 on the original Xbox this weekend.

Gabriel: This weekend I’m planning on cranking my creativity meter to 11 and recording a new song on Guitar Hero 5‘s GHStudio 2.0. Besides that, I expect to be getting some tires muddy as I “study” to review DiRT 2 for the PSP. And if I still have time to spare, perhaps I will sink even more of my life into Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, which has already sucked up 45 hours of otherwise productively used time (Still not Hunter Rank 2!!).

Blake: I will be spending my weekend picking away at several different games on my pile of shame including Ninja Blade and Fuel on the Xbox 360 and Battle Tanks on the PSN.  Also, if I manage to find time, I might take a whack at a couple of recently downloaded PS1 classics, MGS 1 and Silent Hill.  It looks like I will have plenty to keep me busy, along with a pile of music games to break the monotony.  This weekend should be a lot of fun!

Davey: This weekend I shall mostly be playing WET for review purposes. If I get some spare time I’ll probably be crawling around Arkham Island as Batman, or kicking some ass in Ninja Gaiden Sigma in preparation for the upcoming sequel :)

Dave: This weekend I will be playing: Marvel UA 2 for my twitch Superhero fix, The Beatles Rock Band for the benefit of Mr. Kite! Perhaps some Rock Band 2. In between that I am sure I will be perplexing people in Paragon City in City of Heroes / Villains. Finally I will be playing with my emotions, by attending the Pitt / Navy Game.

scribblenauts

As you can see, there’s a hell of a lot of Scribblenauts love going on from our US team! And a hell of a lot of Scribblenauts envy from our UK team!

What are you playing this weekend?

Have a great weekend and check back on the site Monday for more great news and reviews!
