Today, Capcom confirmed it would be releasing a new deluxe Super Street Fighter IV edition, ending speculation on the matter. The upgraded package will include all 25 fighters from the original Street Fighter 4, as well as adding eight new characters. Some of these will be reiterations of previous SF combatants, such as T Hawk, but there will also be new characters, like the mysterious and deadly Juri.
Capcom has promised to deliver more features for matchmaking and online play, and has stated that new Ultra Combos and other moves will be included. This revamped offering will be made available on PS3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2010, and although no price point has yet been fixed, word on the street is that the Super version won’t be as much as a full retail release. Good news indeed for hardcore fans of this beloved fighting franchise.
