If you didn’t get a chance to work your way through Albion in the past year, Lionhead is releasing the game again. This time it will be available in episodic chunks through Xbox Live: Games on Demand. And the best part? The first episode is free.
Re-named “Fable II: Game Episodes”, players can enjoy the game at their own pace, downloading each episode as they please with all of the achievements, extra content and challenges intact. Fable II will release in five episodes over time, though no word yet on when we can expect to see episode two. Episode one will include the introduction to the world of Albion, as well as experiencing childhood as your character and facing moral decisions that will shape who you will become as an adult. With so many choices and gameplay possibilities, once through the first chapter, there is no doubt that you will be hooked.
Fable II was originally released in October 2008, and received many awards including: IGN Best of 2008, X-Play’s Best Game of 2008, and Joystiq’s Best Game of 2008 award, and was also one of the best selling games for the Xbox in 2008. Two expansions came later. The Knothole pack, which features new maps, quests and items, and See The Future which allowed the player to change the breed their dog, as well as offering more new quests and areas to explore.
