Last chance for Shattered Horizon beta registration

If sci-fi is your thing – and, let’s face it, it probably is if you’re a gamer – then your interest may have been piqued by Shattered Horizon.  The futuristic shooter is set in space after a mining colony on the moon suffers colossal disaster, and huge chunks of the moon disintegrate into orbit around the Earth.  Finnish developers Futuremark are offering PC gamers one final chance to get into the closed beta if they register before Monday 5th October.

Shattered Horizon features zero gravity combat

Featuring up to 32 players online, this FPS puts an unusual spin on things by giving players total freedom of movement – it’s a zero gravity shooter.  As those left trapped in space, by the debris field, war with each other for survival, you can attack from any angle or surface you can see.  Head over to http://www.shatteredhorizon.com/ to sign up for the beta, and judge for yourself if this one looks set to become a mind-bending classic.

Shattered Horizon is tentatively scheduled for release later this year, and is available on PC only.  You will need a Directx10 graphics card to play it, and please see the website for details of all the minimum PC specs.
