Those of you savvy punters who have thought to pre-order a copy of Tim Schafer’s Brütal Legend game are in for a treat. Provided your pre-order was placed with Gamestop, as of right freakin’ now you can jump on to your console of choice and download the entire first chapter to play. Some people call this a demo; I call it a gift.
You get to play as Eddie Riggs, a roadie lost in a strange world of Heavy Metal madness. After knocking yourself unconscious, you awake to a world where mountains are made of amplifiers and killer spiders spin guitar strings. With Jack Black providing vocal work, a soundtrack to die for (or at least bang your head to), and the visionary genius behind Psychonauts at the helm, this looks very enticing indeed.
