Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss

Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in!

EA announced today that in celebration of Ultima Online’s 12-year anniversary, they are allowing players with canceled accounts to come back and enjoy the UO content they may have missed in their time away.  More exciting yet, it will be free until October 16th.  The content that will be available once you step your character’s atrophied feet back into Britannia will include, Mondain’s Legacy, the 7th UO expansion which introduced the playable Elven race and new dungeons to explore.

“We’re hoping that, as part of the Return to Britannia Campaign, former players will once again rediscover the joys of Ultima Online,” said Jeff Hickman, Executive Producer for Mythic Entertainment. “UO was the first love of many MMORPG players, and it still holds a special place in their hearts after 12 glorious years. I think returning players will be pleasantly surprised to find a thriving and vibrant community from around the world ready to welcome back their former compatriots and include them in their ongoing adventures.”

Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss, which was released earlier this month, introduced a Gargoyle race,  as well as new lands to explore including Ter Mur, the Gargoyle homeland, and the Stygian Abyss – the largest dungeon area ever introduced to Ultima Online.

That's funny… I just quit a month ago because it wasn't vibrant or thriving, or anything else they claim!
