Get ready to return to Rapture. Yep, that’s right – today, 2K Games announced that Bioshock 2 will hit shelves planet-wide on 9th February 2010. With Christmas lurking in the shadows and about to pounce on us any day now, Bioshock 2 will be with us sooner than you think. Great news.
Set ten years after the original Bioshock, this time out you’ll be playing as Big Daddy Sr, the daddy of all Big Daddies. A mysterious monster has been snatching girls along the Atlantic coastline and taking them back to Rapture. Your very survival is tied into unravelling this mystery and stopping the abductions.
This time out, there’s the added bonus of multiplayer, too. It looks more frantic than an ADHD sufferer whose brain just caught fire, and I, for one, can’t wait to get my hands on the complete package. I remain convinced Rapture is a real place, and I can’t wait to travel back. Let’s hope 2K Games can deliver again – the omens are good so far.
