Valve has just announced a new campaign titled Crash Course, which will be released as an expansion for Left 4 Dead this September. While PC gamers will be able to download Crash Course free of charge, it will cost Xbox 360 gamers 560 Microsoft Points.

Crash Course won’t continue the story where the last campaign left off, but instead will be wedged in-between No Mercy and Death Toll. This new campaign will answer some questions and include “new locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale.”
“The primary goal of ‘Crash’ is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game’s existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.” -Valve
Though it’s unclear why Valve is charging players for the Xbox version, we’re all excited to see Valves continued support for Left 4 Dead. Though paying roughly seven bucks sucks, haven’t they given us enough for free already? I think this will be a great addition to the game, and well worth the MS points, but only time will tell.
