Hot on the heels of the recently released “Demons of the Badlands” DLC, THQ announced today a new DLC pack, which will add a considerable amount of content. The DLC, titled the “Multiplayer Pack,” will add two new game modes to online play, “Bagman” and “Team Bagman.” Along with the new modes, the purchase will net you a whopping 8 new multiplayer maps, which can be used across all modes, including Bagman. In the Bagman mode, all players are vying for the bag. While holding the bag, you gain 1 point a second, and 5 more points for killing someone with the bag in-hand. However, the bagman is highlighted in green and easily visible to all players. Killing without the bag in possession will net no points, so grabbing the bag will be quite frantic.
We have seen some of the maps, and they are quite impressive. One map, titled “Haven” is a collection of small islands, and another map, named “Puncture” features a sinkhole smackdab in the middle that spells instant death for those who fall in. On September 17th, this new DLC will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace for 560 MS points, and the Playstation Store for $6.99. In addition to this news, THQ also announced a THIRD DLC pack will be coming to Red Faction: Guerilla sometime in October.
