Batman is simply a man. Not like the metahumans of the DC universe who have powers beyond that of a human. Granted that Bruce Wayne is rich and can buy anything he wants, his abilities are still defined by what a man can do.
Versed in numerous combat arts forms, his body is his weapon, but sometimes even a man needs tools to help him in his quest for justice.
There is no other character in the DC universe who carries such a diverse amount of tools, weapons, and secrets than Batman and this trailer shows some of the tools of the trade that he will use inside Arkham Asylum battling his rogues gallery and ultimately facing the Joker again.
