G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra The Game is based off the upcoming movie of the same name, minus “The Game.” As it is a movie tie-in, gamers can hope that it will at least do the movie justice, but little hope can be kept for comparison to the cartoon and even more so, the comic book series.
It is possible that the game will at least be able to mimic the action of the series without punching nostalgic fans and gamers in the face. With a third person shooter perspective, it will at least show the action that the series used to be known for. Having read some of the comics, I don’t know if it will be interesting enough for the hardcore crowd, but maybe for once it will be better than most movie tie-in titles.
