Demon’s Souls was originally a Japanese-only release that had many American gamers drooling at the graphics and crying at the slim possibility of a wider release. Thankfully, it was announced that Atlus would publish the title for American gamers.
Demon’s Souls is a PlayStation 3 exclusive title with gamers customizing their own characters in typical RPG fashion and setting off on missions to rid the Kingdom of Boletaria of demons that now plague the land. The games features ten classes of characters, some of which are the standards of the RPG genre.
Gamers can play as Knights, Thieves, Temple Knights, Wanderers, Royals, Hunters, Barbarians, Soldiers, Magicians, and Priests. Each class carries their own advantages and disadvantages and depending on the play style of gamers, the many choices lead to a great amount of replayability.
Demon’s Souls also features a three player co-op mode and a competitive mode where gamers can act as opponents for other gamers.
I saw this game during my time at E3 and it looks amazing. Don’t expect a flashy action RPG, this is all about the medieval era.
