Batman: Arkham Asylum – Playing the Game Trailer

Each time Rocksteady, Eidos, and Warner Bros decide to release a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum, I get a chill in my spine and a rumbling in my stomach. No, not from indigestion, but really from anticipation. In this new trailer labeled, “Playing the Game,” Game Director Sefton Hill and Artificial Intelligence Lead Tim Hanagan, explain the “Invisible Predator” mechanic in Batman: Arkham Asylum and the melee combat system.

Previous trailers showed the deep connective combat system, allowing players to string combination attacks against groups of enemies. The free-flowing combat took directly from the Keysi fighting style that was implemented in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Another trailer showed the villains that would inhabit Arkham while Batman was locked inside.

Gamers want to know that the game their going to be playing has solid gameplay, along with graphics and story. With this new trailer, it appears that Batman is finally on the right track to properly show how Batman should be in video game form.
