Something I’ve noticed about male gamers and programmers is that they all seem to think they need a beard. Well… It turns out that Tom Fulp, creator of Newgrounds.com and programmer for “The Behemoth” took it to an extreme when working on Castle Crashers (fun game by the way). So much so that his colleagues noticed a correlation between the length of his beard and the loss of his sanity. Hmm… maybe that explains some of the behavior of the guys here at GrE and The Portable Gamer. Anyway, some of the Newgrounds’ people decided they needed to help Tom with his battle of the beard and thus our Dammit Game for this Week was born.
Castle Crashing the Beard
If you’ve had the chance to play Castle Crashers, you’ll find the heros of this game very familiar. You start out with a plunger as a weapon, but don’t worry as you gain experience you will get better weapons. The object of the game? Crash the insane bearded head that was once Tom Fulp. You’re up against beard tentacles, a spinning mustache, bread that drops from the sky, laser eyes, and many other insane attacks that really make no sense. So grab your plunger and what little magic you have and trim that beard down to size. That was a bad joke, sorry.
