spongebob-squarepants-p35While a list released this morning by Harmonix includes some pretty awesome songs, it also includes some rather interesting pieces. For those of you who are looking for the “family-friendly” songs to play on Rock Band, look no further. The latest update to hit the world of Rock Band will have players dwelling in the great pineapple of Bikini Bottom, with Spongebob Squarepants.

Releasing tomorrow ( April 7th, 2009 ), the full set list will look like this;

  • Journey- “Don’t Stop Believing”
  • Pat Benatar- “Heartbreaker”
  • The Von Bondies- “C’mon C’mon”
  • Glasvegas- “Geraldine”
  • Foo Fighters- “DOA”
  • Foo Fighters- “This is a Call”
  • Foo Fighters- “Times Like These”
  • Oasis- “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”
  • Spongebob Squarepants- “The Best Day Ever Song”
  • Spongebob Squarepants- “Where’s Gary?”
  • Spongebob Squarepants- “I Can’t Keep My Eyes Off of You”

All of these tracks, including Spongebob’s great hits, were released last week on the Xbox 360 and PS3. This week they feel more at home, as Wii/Nickelodeon fans unite to get their jam on with Spongebob.

This is really good news for gamers who have kids. I’d like to see more family friendly content available that could get the little ones involved in gaming. What do you guys think? Do we need more Spongebob and Nick Jr. type songs on the setlist?
