Assassin’s Creed II is the product of over two years of intensive development by the original team behind Assassin’s Creed. This time around players will incarnate Ezio, a privileged young noble in Renaissance Italy who’s been betrayed by the rival ruling families of Italy. Ezio’s quest for vengeance throws players into, what should be, an epic and captivating story that will offer a wide variety of missions. Hopefully a larger variety than the first Assassin’s Creed, as many complained of the game’s repetition.
“Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin’s Creed,” said Patrice Desilets, creative director at Ubisoft. “We’ve made improvements to every aspect of the game. We’ve plunged ourselves into the stunning history of the Italian Renaissance so that we can offer fans a unique, varied and innovative Assassin’s Creed experience.”
As we all anxiously await the next bit of news from Ubisoft, we’re at least happy about the fact that we’ll have a new Assassin’s Creed come the holidays. This one sure sounds like it will be one you’ll want to throw on the wish list.

Truthfully I didn't find assassin's creed was that repetitive, the info gathering part of the game was but that was just a small and short task each time. personaly looking forward to this release.
i agree with poole91, sometimes you wonder why the fps whores try out a game just because it looks nice and involves killing, still the best part about assassins creed was the templars, never have ive been both scared and envious of an enemy( blood dyed helmet ones) and the dialogue is perfected.
