An article just posted yesterday on the Telegraph puts it as plain as you can get it;
A father stabbed his partner to death after she threw him out of their bedroom so she could spend the nights playing on a Sony PlayStation Console.
Malcom Palmer, 62, turned on the mother of his three children after she became hooked on Grand Theft Auto. While she was busy getting her game on, he was forced to sleep on the sofa in their living room. Carol Cannom, 46, stayed up all night gaming away (typical of gamers) after her son, 10, was done playing for the evening. Her son would typically play until midnight, and then Ms. Cannom would take the controller from that point on.
“Carol quickly became hooked. He was very unhappy about the amount of time she was playing on the PlayStation,” Said John Pini QC for the prosecution.
The court also heard how Palmer had become convinced that Carol was having an affair, and went on a violent rampage when she told him she wanted him to move out last year. She even went as far as threatened that he would never get to see his children again.
That very evening, Palmer attacked Carol with two knives, inflicting 20 seperate wounds to her upper chest. The murder was overheard by their son James, who called the police. Palmer picked the phone up from his son and simply said, “I’m sorry. I think I’ve killed her.”
Palmer’s defence lawyer Timothy Spencer QC told the court: “The genesis of this tragedy bizarrely lies with the purchase of the PlayStation.” Palmer admitted to the murder and will be sentenced this Wednesday.

The quotes in this story….
“The genesis of this tragedy bizarrely lies with the purchase of the PlayStation.”
Are you f*cking serious?! NO. A jealous old man is the reason. Stop blaming sh*t on a black box. You're a sh*tty defense attorney who knows his client's going to the slammer. Leave video games out of it.
The man is obviously nuts… you pick up the phone and say “I’m sorry. I think I’ve killed her.”
Really? Were you going to give her a massage? Fool!
This is what happens when you introduce a sony product into a place where microsoft clearly should have been. Blame sony, not the old man.
Actually, if she was having an affair, it wouldn't be the PlayStation's fault. That would be the internet. And that is why you should never bring a TV in the bedroom for video games. Other types of videos… maybe, but video games… no.
But It could've been San Andreas' Hot Coffee.
What about Leisure Suit Larry… actually come to think of it no room has done anything to deserve that.
The genesis of this tragedy bizarrely lies with the purchase of the PlayStation
oh the console puns!
This is the first time a killer has killed not because he was influenced by GTA, but rather jealous of it. Take that Jack Thompson! People want their games and apparently the only people who can stop us are knife wielding maniacs!
He only wanted to play Halo.
