F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin DLC on it’s way

The information has just reached our end of the intertubes that Monolith Entertainment (developers of the original F.E.A.R. and it’s 2009 ‘definitive’ sequel) is planning to release a small wedge of DLC to bring multiplayer gamers back to cautiously treading the darkened paths of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, or at least their new publisher; Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is.

We say this, as the quality of the forthcoming content is not likely to revolutionise the world of DLC, or even make a noticable appearance – especially in the shadow of Rockstar’s recent Lost and Damned. ‘Toy Soldiers’ is the first piece of downloadable content in the works for the recently released FPS, and promises to bring a number of new multiplayer maps which aim to add a twist to the gameplay currently present in the game. We’re going to guess that this includes either toys or soldiers – but don’t hold us to that.

Alongside this release will come a frighteningly expensive premium theme and a terrifyingly overpriced picture pack. Expect more info as it comes.
