Ubisoft announced that the official Tom Clancy’s HAWX demo is now available for download for the PS3. In this demo, players will get the chance to rule the skies while battling planes, tanks and amphibious assaults. Players will also have the chance to dog fight with other elite pilots in a “stunning panoramic boss scene.”
Some of the key features of the demo include;
- 4 player “jump in/jump out” co-op
- Unlockable planes; F-16A Fighting Falcon, SU-35 Super Flanker, AV-8B Harrier II
- Two playable game modes; Normal (default control type) and Expert ( Allowing for full control over the aircraft with Assistance Off)
- Two missions;
- Operation: Off Certification which will teach the basics of flying and the skills of an elite pilot.
- Operation: Glass Hammer (Rio De Janeiro) will take players over GeoEye technology, teaching players to use the Enhanced Reality System with Assistance On mode, where your plane’s computer calculates the best interception course for you to follow and attack an enemy, evade a missile or hit a ground target.
The demo looks to train players prior to the release. As we mentioned before, Tom Clancy games have always had lengthy and in depth tutorials to help players adjust to the new technologies, and HAWX appears to be no different.
It took PlayStation a little extra time to get the demo up and running, but now that it’s here, it was well worth the wait. So head on over to your PlayStation Store and pick up the demo now to see what Xbox users have been enjoying for a few weeks already.
