With nearly 4 million Metal Gear Solid 4 players, Konami has been stepping up to the plate, adding loads of new content to their online component. The latest in a slew of updates is set to be classic bomb plant gaming dubbed Bomb Mission Mode.
Bomb Mission Mode is a battle to destroy or protect target areas on the map. The attacking team will claim victory if they can plant time bombs in the target areas and protect them until any one of them detonates. While the defending team can win by protecting all of the target areas on the map until the timer expires. The defending team can also use Coolant to nullify planted time bombs.
Attackers can only use one bomb at a time and if a defender kills the bomb carrier, the bomb will be eliminated if left on the ground for a set period of time. Once fully eliminated, the bomb will reappear at its original location. For defenders to win, they must either hold the base until time runs out, or eliminate all of the bombs.
Bomb Mission Mode should help add the much needed fuel to Metal Gear Online and will be free for all to download Tuesday, January 27th.
