MS needs to start picking up some first party dev's and racking up the big exclusives. They've lost a bunch, a bunch more were canceled, and now there's talk of the biggest exclusive no longer being exclusive. (outside of Halo of course). This isn't good. I have to say that without exclusives only one console would be worth buying…and we'd buy because of features not games. That would mean that the PS3 would be the only system worth buying at the end of the day in that kind of world. Which is why i love exclusives, it gives me a reason to own all the systems. MS losing as many as they have been is a big deal. Sony, once a game has been put out, hasn't lost an exclusive title yet. It's usually a year or two before the game comes out that they announce a 360 version. Either way, if MS loses this the only other big exclusive they have is Halo and Forza. But with so many of their developers going mutliplat they're going to be left in the dust getting practically nothing for their system if they don't start playing the game a little smarter.

In this day and age where the economy is shit, I don’t think any 3rd party will make one platform exclusive. Unless MS decides to fork up and buy all rights to Gears or Epic Games, anything is possible.

Seriously, you guys need to grow up Multiplatform is the future, all companys know it hense why a ton of exclusives to each console are doing such, with the exception of certain in house titles “Halo, Mario, God of War…etc”

Personally I dont see the point of Gears going Multiplatform this late in the series unless there is a HUGE demand for it, which unfortunatly I dont see, but if it does then it goes with my blessing why? because then Epic gets more money and continues to pump out even more bad ass games and we the gamers get to play said games reguardless of what system we have!

WE ALL WIN ASSHATS! get it through your thick skulls and quit bitching about “Oh my console is better than your console” we are gamers..we game on the system we feel comfortable on.

I gotta say wow, especially to the guy who said Resistance 1 looks better than Gears of War 2. What the heck are you smokin’ dude? I want some of that, because Resistance 1 does NOT look better than Gears of War 2 at all. Seriously, this article is an “Epic” failure, just like Epic would be if they were to put the Gears of War franchise on the PS3.

The only people who benefit in the long run from exclusives are the hardware manufacturers and fanboys. Publishers do ok but they can make more on more formats. Developers get shafted with something 12 inches long and dome shaped a both ends!!!!

not really , Epic games lot of money from Exclusives contract , in particular for a brand like GOW . Epic can develope games on ps3 too , other games . so wtf are you talking about ;) .

BTW x360 will not be obsolete anytime soon , just it pumps lil more pol/sec in games , nicer AA , more stable framerate ( always .. sigh.. ) but less lighting capabilities and a less life-like game possibilities , nontheless I think we’ve seen all the x360 can do , while the nice news in the ps3 hardw have not been completely or enough rolled off in games .

There’s no chance to set apart the 2 machines , while there’s chances we’ll seen something nicer in the future for ps3 , maybe from epic . in 2 years market can change .

First off, i would LOVE to have Gears Of War on the PS3, i think it looks amazing. Unfortunately i’m doubtful that it’ll happen, especially with Cliff Blezinski’s recent comments about how he supposedly “Never wants to see GOW on the PS3″.

Second – for the idiots that are STILL talking about MGS4 going to the 360 grow a freaking brain already! You’ve been saying that ever since the game was FIRST ANNOUNCED! The Xbox 360 DOES NOT HAVE THE HARDWARE to run MGS4 so the only option would be for the 360 to get a “Baby” version of the game, which would just be stupid. Hideo Kojima optimised the game for use with the PS3′s specific hardware attributes…..an Xbox 360 port therefore would look ugly and would most likely be full of bugs. Also……you would have to put the game on like 15 DVD’s……and who wants to go to all the trouble of shifting through all those disks to find the part of the story you’re at???

What’s even more shocking however is that some Xbox fanboys HAVE moved past this whole thing……and are NOW saying that MGS5 will be on the 360, if those morons weren’t right last time, why would they be this time???

MGS4 will NOT come to the 360, neither will MGS5. Neither will Final Fantasy Versus XIII (I hope).

Gears Of War 3 (Unfortunately) probably WILL stay exclusive to the Xbox 360………unless the team over at Epic make a game so huge it’s simply too big to fit on the 360 (Which is most likely the case Rockstar are facing with GTA V but that’s another story) in which case, they may have no choice…………

Look Dead Space , both version advertised “equals” , to my eyes they’re not at all , as every version has his own taste , the 360 one being more a game , the ps3 one being lil more a nice movie experience that you’re in and play ..

So basically MS mafia will likely win , on money .

To be honest, Mark Rein (Epic CEO) love the PS3 and has said it many time. He loves the fact that users can put up there own content and maps as they have done with Unreal 3. Until the deal runs out with Microsoft. I guess we wont see anything cross-platform, but it will happen as some of the other comments have already mentioned.
