Excite Truck Developer Working on “Top Secret” Wii Game

2 Comments 30 November 2008 |

Monster Games, a development studio best known for the Wii launch title Excite Truck, is supposedly developing a new, “top secret” title for Nintendo of America.  According to LocallyGrownNorthfield.com the Wii development house has been working on the project for almost two years and it is getting close to completion.  We can only assume that Nintendo will begin promoting the title at that point.

How secret is this project you say?  Bonnie Obremski of Representative Journalism elaborates:

Right now, the 20 employees at Monster Games are working on a top-secret video game for Nintendo. They’ve worked on it for two years and are nearly finished. The process is so private the designers must darken their monitors when the bottled-water deliveryman enters the office.  — LocallyGrownNorthfield.com

Now that the project has been semi-announced, many are left to wonder what we might be seeing next out of Monster Games.  My vote is going with the obvious Excite Truck 2, but I have read rumblings that it could either be the revival of the Excite Bike franchise or the next F-Zero game.  Given their background in racing games, what are you hoping to see?
