Dedicated Fans Make Mega Man Movie

1 Comment 24 November 2008 |

Of all of the classic games of the last 25 years, Mega Man has some of the most rabid fans in gaming.  After years of numerous mediocre video games, The Blue Bomber rose back to the top after the release of Mega Man 9 for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare.  On the heals of his sudden resurgence in popularity, a group of dedicated fans have set out to make an independent live-action film, chronicling the emergence of Mega Man.

Considering that there is almost no financial backing for the film whatsoever, it is a miracle that the project has gotten off of the ground.  You can check out their progress at MegaManFilm.com or on the directors site at EddieLebron.com.  You can also view the trailer below and look forward to the film’s release via the Internet, in the next few weeks.

You know.. if this was picked up and done well, it would make a pretty damn cool movie. I would go see it.
