Every weekend, the Games Are Evil crew rounds up their unfinished business: Games from the recent past that deserve some extra attention.
Jason Evangelho, Evil Editor and Sweet Tooth: After seeing my 360 suffer a fate WORSE than the RROD (a 1 Red Light E64 Error), it looks like I’ll be shifting my focus to the PS3. Recently Criterion/EA released a trophy patch for Burnout Paradise, so I bit the bullet and wiped out my save data for a clean slate. In lieu of achievements, I’ll be trophy-whoring it up over the weekend. Though it’s far from being old, WipEout HD’s final 3 stages taunt me nightly and I’ll be honing my anti-gravity racing skills in Headrush and Vertigo. Aside from that, I’ve been wanting to revisit some early iPhone games such as Radius, Aurora Feint, and Tap Tap Revenge. And to wrap things up, I’ll be hunting down a new gaming food of choice now that Mother’s Cookies has gone belly up :-(
Adrian “Shadow580″ Marchisio, Staff Writer and NBA fan: This weekend is gonna be mostly about the PSP for me. Since I recently got a new charger I’m going to be hitting Star Wars Battlefront pretty hard. Ill also be heading into a feeble attempt at Devil May Cry. The last time I tried to play it I got frustrated and almost made the disc a Frisbee. This time, however, I have a bit more patience, so we’ll see how far I can get.
Gabriel Marchisio, Staff Writer and Rhythm Game Champ: Well, this week I realized that all my non-rhythm games are essentially gathering dust. Horrified by this fact, I’m going to dedicate this weekend to playing some Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4. Hell, I may even pop in Gears of War (which I still think is a multiplayer experience to rival Rainbow Six Vegas’). My standard controllers will be thankful for the attention, and my Instrument peripherals willl get a break from being….. broken.
Dave Hatfield, Retro Editor and SNES Buff: I will be playing some Rock Band 2 and mourning the temporary loss of an excellent drummer (Jason). Gotham will continue to get cleaned up Lego style. Both of these of course on the Xbox 360. I will begin playing Persona 3 FES for the PS2, with a review to follow (once I finally complete it). Poor Eternal Darkness will be pushed back, along with Front Mission 4.
Rob LeFebvre, Associate Evil-Doer: I am behind a review for the iPhone, so I’ll probably play that one: deBlob by THQ Wireless. Otherwise, I still have Assassin’s Creed and Perfect Dark Zero to get through. Oh, and Halo 2, The Orange Box, and I really ought to check out my PiƱata garden.
