I don't see why people want to argue over which game system is better, honestly. When you say that Zelda: Twilight Princess is a wii exclusive, remember that it was coded for the gamecube, then flipped horizontally for right handed players, and released on both, and IMHO, the gameplay was more solid, the framerate smoother, and the graphics were the same, all on the gamecube. The wii does do some motion control properly, in it's own way, but the same could be said for the sixaxis on the PS3, the upcoming Playstation Move controller, or Xbox Kinect. For those that insist on arguing about which system is better, play each system, get acquainted with each one, play the best and the worst for each system, then make a decision. But remember: It's only your opinion, and nobody will agree on whose opinion is best.

Now that the rant is out of the way, I would like to say that I've spent a minimum of a week with each system, but always come back to PC gaming in the end. The 360 is in the living room for movies, DVDs, and games when there is a guest in the house. The PS3 gets hooked up for the occasional game or 2, and the wii is sitting largely unused, until another decent game comes along.

The interesting part from my point of view?

I've spent just under US$250 building my computer.

The tower and power supply, I found being thrown out, the monitor was a freebie from a friend who didn't need it, the hard drives and DVD burner are old drives from systems I've replaced. The motherboard cost $60 at Fry's electronics, the processor, another $70. The RAM and sound system cost $50 and $40 respectively. I did my research ahead of time, knew what I was looking for, and knew my budget.

It will play Crysis, the best looking game made so far, at medium to high settings at 1024×768. It's played every game I've thrown at it, without skipping a beat, and the only changes I may make to it in the future will be a new video card for under $100, and more memory for even less.

I will admit that PC gaming is not for everyone, considering it takes considerable patience, foresight, and dedication. You can't just throw a game in and play. You have to install it, update as necessary, and deal with bad ports from EA games and the like. You have to be able to see far enough ahead to know when to upgrade your computer and what parts will work the best with your current setup.

If you have a relatively new computer and only use it for web browsing, facebook, or email, consider looking down the PC game aisle the next time a new game comes out, and weigh the PC in on the decision. The multiplayer is almost always free, and the games that aren't are usually MMORPGs, the graphics are almost always better than the console version, as the video is not scaled up to the resolution of the screen, it's rendered at it. What that means in layman's terms is crisp clean textures and models, smoother framerates if you have the hardware, and overall better visuals.

I’m not a fanboy or anything I just grew up with Nintendo so I’m sticking with Nintendo, by that I mean the consoles. I got no problem with ps3 or 360 I think they’re both great and I don’t own them but my friends do and they’re great consoles, 360 has xbox live and many awesome libraries of games and ps3 has the playstation store and plays blue-ray, and none of them bitch about the other consoles because they chose a console and stuck with it, and I BET most of you ignorant dopes have never even played a wii game or even touched a wii remote and here you are BITCHING like a bunch of ignorant little BITCHASSES that it sucks or bullshit like it’s for kids, yeah it has some games for children because the wii is also a family system. I am not at all a gamer….but fell in love with Resident Evil 4!! I don’t like the controllers for Xbox or PS2 or 3……I bought the Wii….strictly because of Resident Evil 4 assuming that there would be more like it. When I saw Resident Evil 5 on Xbox….I naturally assumed it’d be on Wii! There needs to be more product like this for the Wii for us gamers that can’t handle the complexity of the Xbox control. Seriously, You people who think wiis are retarded, never actually played a wii before. The wiis movement makes games very fun. Resident evil 4 was much more gorgeous on wii than the ps2 version OR the gamecube version. The aiming is much funner. Also Wii is home to Mario games, which are so far the number one seller series, and zelda and pokemon. though I admit pokemon IS kiddy for n00bs, if you really go hardcore on it, its really for adults. All those hard ev trainings etc. Actually I think Mario would be better off for xbox and ps3, since Mario games never put the full potential on wii anyways. NSMBwii and super paper mario actually make you tilt the remote like a controller wtf on that?

i have to agree with Bennet. it's no use trying to fight over the best console here, WE'RE OFF THE TOPIC. come on.
we're talking about RE5 not coming to wii, NOT WHICH IS THE BEST CONSOLE. WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT PS3 OR 360 HERE. it's about WII. SH*T.
and yeah, i guess it's really a shame. i sometimes feel sorry for this kinds of things on wii, because it seems who's bought it is losing many many good games out there. of course, wii has its awesome things: RE4 was awesome with the WiiMote aim. had a lot of fun x) still, nintendo could've spent more money and time on the graphics, i have to agree. i don't think nintendo just wasn't able to do it – just a little more and its graphics would've been better. maybe they were too eager to release it and lost the opportunity to optimize it :'( quite a shame. i hope they try to get more titles to the wii, so that we won't feel so bad about it. and that next time they realize only gameplay doesn't make a console – good titles are needed as well :)

I have the Wii and loved RE4. I have played it to death. I am afraid if they don't bring it out for the Wii I will simply not buy it. I love the Wii and wish more of the games would make better use of the controllers. I have to admit I really don't care one way or the other about graphics quality for games. I am more interested in a good game story, functionality and the ability to save when needed. I have a P3 but I won't buy it for that as I don't care to learn another controller and because I don't want to support games that don't support the Wii. It was the first game systems I have ever owned and it is great. We purchased the P3 because it plays blue ray and can be updated as apposed to a stand alone unit and the price was similar. We like that system too but I already have games I am working on on that system and won't be done anytime soon! As for the Xbox all I have to say for that is Microsoft.

The wii is far from current gen, in reality it is pretty much just a repackaged gamecube, which you can see since Wii and Gamecube games can be played on the same emulators, with little modification.

The wii was the biggest scam in a long time, nintendo just repackages old tech and sells it over a hundred dollars overprice, with a gimmicky accessory that was originally meant for a gamecube game.

Plus, MS and Sony are making ripoffs of the Wiimote, that involve better tech and have better functionality. The very moment they are released, the wii is totally obsolete.

There is nothing left for the wii here. People are starting to realize it's lack of potential and lack of quality games (which is limited to LOZ :TP, SMG, NMH, MP3, all 5 of it's great exclusives, which I own) and people are moving to systems that allow developers to go beyond.

Come on dude, your defending a console in which %90 of the games for it are games like Imagine: Party Babyz, Anubis II and Soldiers Of Misfortune.

Even if you didn't like RE5 (even though over 4 million people did enjoy it), it's impossible to deny that next gen games like it are whats going to keep the industry moving.

Beleive it or not, making quality games is what gamers like. Games that companies put months upon months of effort into, and reflect that in their game play and visuals, things that must go hand in hand. No more than 8 wii games show that, whioch should say something.

i dont trust scores because i think scores are not fair at all. i think reviewers dont play the games that much. they just see what they like and what is SUPPOSED to be good and give it a great review. and you say current gen games like there are none for the wii. try playing some good wii games one day instead of the crap EA pukes out. i tried alot of those and i couldnt stand them. especially RE5. this may come as a bit of a shocker to you but believe it or not the wii is current gen. just because it doesnt have great graphics doesnt mean it crap.

o_o Are you serious? Umbrella Chonicles is an amazing game. I suppose you have to have lived through the Arcade era to fully appreciate it. But don't you dare try to compare it to Gaiden, Dead Aim, or any of the other RE spin-offs.

As for the Wii being exclusively for children? Do you actually believe that Nintendo shoos away anyone wanting to make a T or M rated game away from their systems? Come on, it's just that people would rather play with the new graphics then settle for the Wii. Besides, the Wii 2 or whatever the blast they are going to call it will probably come out in a year or two and compete in areas that the Wii currently lacks. We already have had confirmation of a large storage device included with it.

As for the Wii not being a "next gen" system, it actually is. Every generation the new systems double up on the previous. 8-16-32-64, ect. With that in mind the Wii is twice the system the GCN was. Not that that matters. The PS3 and 360 blows it out of the water. Heck, it's in the 360's name. =P But still, let's not forget that poor graphics and gameplay usually comes down to the developer. An example of this. Farcry for the Wii had awful graphics. This was entirely the developer's fault. Dead Rising won't be able to provide many zombies at one time on the Wii. Capcom has bent over backwards just to get the Wii to output a handful of zombies. See the difference?

Anyway that's pretty much it. I just happened across this while browsing Google, so don't bother replying to me. I won't reply. ^_^ I don't expect people to nerd out like I do and study the industry. But unless you do, try to avoid ridiculous statements.

360 owns ps3 . ps3 has nextt to no decent titles except heavenly sword, uncharted, mgs4 and valkyria chronicles. and yes although some 360 titles are going to ps3., the ps3 has lost even bigger titles to the 360 (final fantasy, GTA).
as for the wii… yeah, its not a real gaming format. its just a fad.
if you want to play real games, get a 360 and Xbox Live.

Just because RE4 was on the Wii doesn't mean RE5 can be. I guess we can also port Final Fantasy 7 to the SNES because 6 was. Play RE5, and you'll see. They'd have to dumb it down so much that it would practically be a new game.

If you want to play RE5, get a 360 or PS3. Don't wait for a Wii port that will have to be so different that it's not the RE5 you've been waiting for anymore.

Really? I have a PS3 and a Wii, and the only one I regret buying was the wii, at least until I hacked it. PS3 has tons of great games, and the fact you regret it now of all times means you probably just don't like current gen games in general.

Just dismissing many of those games as crap is ignorant, look at the scores and they will prove you wrong.

Most of 360s games are multi console now, many are going to ps3. Heck, even ninja Gaiden 2 as been announced for PS3 now with bonus content. So was Bioshock, andEternal Sonata

Other than Gears and Halo, 360 has fewer great exclusives than PS3 at this point in time, and at the moment, there doesn't seem to be much to be waiting for for 360 owners in the coming years.

I have a wii and a PS3 and i have to admit, i play my Ps3 way more then my wii. I got the wii first and beat Zelda, metroid 3, and mario kart and brawl and then got bored. Then i saved up for another system, ended up getting ps3(needed Blu-ray)and it had everything i wanted. I love killzone 2, resitance2, and MGS4 more than 360 games or wii games(though halo 3 multiplayerr still kicks ass, i like resistances better)the fact is, wii has good party games, but if you are a hard core gamer, the ps3 or 360 is a no brainer.

I don't know if you've ever played Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Super Mario Galaxy, but those games are very well worth the purchase of a Wii, in my opinion. Like I said before in my previous post, I don't regret buying the Wii.

I know that I'm greatful, but the trick for me to get what I want is balancing my money. I know how much I owe on my bills and I know how much "breathing" room I have to spend. Sometims, there is no money to spend. I took a credit card that I paid off, and bought the PS3 and resident evil 5 with it. Instead of forking over all that money, it just seemed easier to make $100 payments for 3-4 months. There is no way in hell that I would have thrown down that cash at one time. There are more important things that I would rather buy than a PS3, but with the help of a credit card and $100 payments a month, it helps me get what I want without feeling like i broke the bank.

What did you expect? Wii is a last gen console with a gimmicky controller. Lame CPU, lack of memory , weak GPU, low-res non HD output, the Wii is just plain Wiik. I have to hand it to Nintendo, conquering the market with a regurgitated GameCube. Quite an accomplishment.

If you want to play this game just get an Xbox 360 (the graphics, like in most games, are better on 360 than PS3). If you want to flap around like a spastic crazed bird play the other Wii stuff.
