Nintendo DSi Video Emerges: Details Exposed

At a press event prior to the Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo announced that they had a new model of the DS on the horizon.  The DS replacement was to be christened with the moniker, Nintendo DSi.  It is believed that the ‘i’ in the name is derived from the new camera functionality that is built into the handheld.  I can only assume that Nintendo settled on DSi, because they would have been sued senseless by Apple if they used the name, iDS.  While details have been scant at best, anticipation for the new product has been sky high.  It is beginning to look like “The Big N” has another smash hit on their hands.

In order to promote public awareness of the DSi, Nintendo released a video that details all of the product’s updates and new features.  Unfortunately, Nintendo of America didn’t get the memo and thus, we only have the Japanese version of the video.  If you are not fluent in Japanese don’t fret, just pay close enough attention to the illustrations and you should be able to figure out what is going on.

After already watching this video, I can’t help but feel like a guinea pig in the world’s biggest game of My Language Coach: Japanese Edition. Check out the video below:
