Storage has always been an issue for Wii owners. The meager internal storage space has left gamers with no options other then hot-swapping files off of memory cards, in order to not make room for new downloads and saved games. At Nintendo’s most recent press event they announced plans to allow users to save games directly onto the memory card, but to the dismay of many, there is still no option to play games directly from the same card.
It looks like Nintendo has heard your frustrated cries and designed a Wii console that comes equipped with a hard drive. Here’s the catch, they are not for sale to the general public! Nintendo recently donated several hundred of these hard drive bearing consoles to hospitals across North America and Canada. Short of injuring yourself beyond recognition, the only way that you will be able to get your hands on one of these bad boys is to pay a visit to your friendly neighborhood Nintendo World store.
