From Russians to Robots, from Nazis to Necromancers, the first details of D3Publisher’s and Vicious Cycle’s 360 and PS3 action shooter ‘Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard’ have been thrust upon us, and we are now thrusting them upon you. Largely in the form of the trailer you’ll find below.
If you haven’t heard of Matt Hazard then where have you been these past twenty years? Don’t worry, we hadn’t heard of him either. Mainly, because he’s a totally original character with a rather cleverly designed back-story that aims to give the impression that we’re dealing with a true icon of videogaming history.
Apparently Mr Hazard has been the star of numerous games including 1983′s ‘The Adventures of Matt in Hazard Land’, 2000′s ‘Haz-Matt Carts’ and 2002′s ‘Choking Hazard: CandyGram’. The gallery below shows Matt’s entire back catalogue of fame, along with a couple of screens from ‘his’ biggest exploits. Some of the parody and satire is more than a little obvious.
Unfortunately we can’t provide you with too much info regarding Eat Lead as of yet (due to risk of breaking embargoes and what not) but we’re sure you’ll agree that the premise presented in the trailer is pretty hilarious. Rest assured more info will be available soon.
