C&C FPS Cancelled

0 Comments 01 October 2008

EA have officially confirmed that ‘Tiberium’, a first-person shooter based on the Command & Conquer series, has been cancelled.

Developed by EA’s Los Angeles studio (the same team currently working on C&C: Red Alert 3), the game did not meet the quality requirements set by EA themselves.  Originally set for release on 360, PS3 and PC, Tiberium has had a troubled development process with signs not looking good when it was announced this past July that the project was to be delayed until April 2009 at the earliest.

Due to the cancellation a number of EA Los Angeles employees will be left jobless, however EA are adamant that every effort is being made to move as many people onto other projects as possible.
